Through tears come laughter
I served with Eric, Rich and his wife and Randy in the ER at NH Bethesda NNMC. In our efforts there, we experienced cases which would have brought tears had we no assumed a "manly" persona! At the end of the day was Eric's laugh. I hear it still all these years later.
I remember hearing of his sacrifice with disbelief. When I finally read his obituary in Stars & Stripes, reality hit me and I grieved deeply. My friend would never realize his dream of going on into nuclear medicine and never again hear his LOUD reply across the mess hall answering the question how he liked the Navy.
Eric, I miss you and our limited time together. To this day, I shed tears and hear your laughter.
Fair winds and following seas, my brother! Semper Remedius! I have much to share with you when again we meet, not the least being my brotherly affection.
