Friend from Church

I remember David ftom our College/Career group at 1st Baptist Church of Van Nuys. He was an active part of the group and always so friendly. I was so sad to hear that he was killed in Vietnam. I found his name years ago on the wall in D.C. and made a rubbing. I've found it on the wall at Calitol Park in Sacramento. Today I found David's name on the traveling Wall That Heals in Roseville, CA and made another rubbing. David, you'll never be forgotten and your service for our country will always be respected.

My Friend.

David was killed pulling a wounded comrade to safety while the rest of us were under fire and in shelter. He disregarded his own safety and died trying to rescue another marine who had been shot, The bravest act of all.
