do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Victor Black a Great Young Man
I made of my old friends name years ago and framed it for his mom. I sure miss Victor and think of him often. He gave it all for us. Respect! Thank you for what you sacrificed.

Remembered
DEAR SERGEANT BLACK,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN INFANTRYMAN. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. MANY OF US HAVE BEGUN OUR JOURNEY TO EASTER. AND YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.

Think of him often. Especially Christmas, Veterans day, and Memorial day.
Vic and I where at Fort Bragg together. We spent Christmas 1969 together, telling stories of our families and our homes. We shared a room in Fayetteville, NC. at the time. We where in the same unit ,therefore we where together a lot.
