Silver Star Medal Award

Technical Sergeant Roy Dewitt Prater was awarded the Silver Star Medal for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action. He served as a Flight Engineer and was assigned to the 37TH ARRS, 3RD AIR RESCUE GROUP, 7TH AF.

Dear Tsgt Roy Prater, Thank you for your service with the 37 Air Rescue & Recovery Squadron. Thank you for the lives you saved. Glad you were identified in 1997 - WELCOME HOME. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was Flag Day. Time passes quickly.
