THE WALL OF FACES

Remember to save for them a place inside of you, and save one backward glance when you are leaving, for the places they can no longer go...

I had the honor to say your name during the 40th anniversary commemoration of the Wall. May you rest in peace.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Thank you, Captain Powers, for your unrelenting courage and ultimate sacrifice. I wore a bracelet with your name engraved on it throughout my high school days at Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio.
I pray you know how many folks cared for you and respected you for your service in a war not always supported,at the time, by the general public.

Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Tomorrow is Flag Day. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
