Thank You

Dear PFC Alexander Pomeroy, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. I researched you on the 52nd anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was Memorial Day when our nation remembers your sacrifice. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Alex, my cousin

Our families lived far from each other so I only met you once, as a small child. My mother deeply grieved the loss of her brother’s promising son. I found your name on the Viet Nam Memorial Wall. Your service is appreciated, and you are loved.

To Alex

You were a kind, sweet guy with just enough crazy to be a lot of fun! It was so difficult to hear you were gone, taken from friends and family, way too young.. Thank you got your ultimate sacrifice...
God Bless..

Handsome, vibrant, fun loving, brave, All American kid.

Alex was the handsome boy next door who didn't come home. The boy whose death shattered his parents and shocked us all. As I watch the Vietnam War on PBS it makes his sacrifice all the more painful even after 45 years.
