My friend forever on my mind
I served with Mike in Security plt. Da Nang 1968 I carry his memory with me and still recall his face.WE were so young then,I have aged but Mike will forever be 18.He loved his family.

My name is Anthony Poletti and we are doing a project in my history class to "put face with a name." We are on the vietnam section and our teacher is really into it and he is an exceptional teacher, probably the best ever. So I looked for someone with the same name as me and i found Michael Poletti. We have learned about the harsh conditions of vietnam through guest speakers who actually fought in vietnem, first hand videos, and our teacher who basically held the hands of all the soilders he knows it so well. So i basically just wanted to say thank you for your service and your death has not gone unnoticed, your cause will never be forgotten.
