we will remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You
Dear Sp4 Thomas Poldino, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 73rd birthday just passed, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Tomorrow is Memorial Day (today is Declaration Day) when our nation remembers those of you who paid the ultimate price. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Thomas Poldino, my Uncle
Thanks to everybody for all of your kind words regarding my Uncle Tommy.
Although I was a baby when he passed, I want you to know that our family has never forgotten him! Personally, I march every year with my Girl Scout troop in our local Memorial Day Parade in his honor. One of my prize possessions is a toy tiger he gave me, I cherish it. I wish I knew him better but the stories my Dad, Vinny, tells me about his younger brother, keeps his memory alive. I know that he was quite shy and loved cars. I am lucky to know his boyhood friends, as well. My Grandparents are with him now and frankly I do not know how they were able to go on. They suffered other losses too, they were strong people and blessed to have a large, loving family to support them through their losses. For those who served with him, Thank you for your service!

thinking of Thomas
My husband served with Thomas Poldino in Vietnam. They became very close friends & I have heard so much about Tom thru the years that I feel as if I know him. My husband speaks of what a fine young man & a great soldier Tom was. We have been to The Wall in DC & touched his name. My heart aches for his family & friends as even 46 yrs. later the loss still is so great. Can't help but wonder how he would be today, wishing he could re-unite with his buddies at the reunions, etc. Rest in Peace, Thomas Poldino. You are not forgotten.
