Dear PFC Dale Plote, Thank you for your service with Kilo Company, 26th Marines. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Memorial Day is in a few days when the nation remembers all our lost. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dale Edwin Plote. He was an American hero. He is the reason I can freely write this today. No amount of thanking will ever truly do the justice of his actions, yet we will try anyway. Thank you for your service Mr.Plote. I wish you made it back.

Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.

I remember school at Larkin.I can still see us playing ball against each other, when you and mike sommers played for the lions club in south Elgin. Dale I also served in Vietnam in 1969-1970. Surprising I do think of my old friends, and you show up a lot,maybe because we're brothers in arms. BROTHERS FOREVER.
