There are no words that can express the gratitude for your service and the sadness that you had to make the ultimate sacrifice.

You were matched with me for a Memorial Day event, and I am grateful for that. I will say your name out loud in remembrance of you and walk in your honor.

Private First Class Kenneth Paul Bireley, Served with Company C, 3rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force.

My father grew up in the neighborhood and graduated high school with Ken. SP4 Richard C. Fetterhoff made it home from Vietnam. He spoke of Ken often. I was named after him and my father’s lieutenant. My father passed away in December 2016. I can only imagine the reunion they had. You sir are one of my heroes and I am honored and humbled to be named in your honor.
