Ken

My father grew up in the neighborhood and graduated high school with Ken. SP4 Richard C. Fetterhoff made it home from Vietnam. He spoke of Ken often. I was named after him and my father’s lieutenant. My father passed away in December 2016. I can only imagine the reunion they had. You sir are one of my heroes and I am honored and humbled to be named in your honor.

Remembered

DEAR PFC BIRDELEY,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A COMBAT ENGINEER. SEMPER FI. YOU WERE KILLED ON THE SAME DAY AS ANOTHER MARINE WHO WAS ONCE MY BROTHER-IN-LAW. SAY HI TO FRANKIE. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. MANY OF US HAVE BEGUN OUR JOURNEY TO EASTER. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS. TODAY IS SAINT JOSEPH. HE IS REMEMBERED AS BEING THE PATRON OF A HAPPY DEATH BECAUSE YOU ARE GREETED THE THE HOLY ONES. MAY THEY GREET YOU TOO.
