Thank You

Dear Ssgt Thomas Pilson, Thank you for your service as an Armor Crewman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Memorial Day is soon. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Thomas Victor Pilson

Tom was a man, who was called by Uncle Sam.
He had to go off to fight, and try to survive with all his might.
I knew he was scared, by the letter's we shared.
Though he tried not to show it, he wanted no one to know it.
For he was young and full of pride, up until the day he died.
The enemy killed him, he had nothing to shield him.
Now forty-five years have passed, and my heart still wants to collapse.
Whenever I think of how much we cared, and all our plans and dreams that
now can never be shared.
I Love You (You're "Little One")

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Thomas Victor Pilson, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
