MY BROTHER, MY HERO

WE OFTEN TALKED ABOUT VIET NAM,AS WE SAT ON THE EDGE OF
YOUR BED. YET I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND OUT YOU HAD ENLISTED.
I WAS VERY PROUD THAT YOU HAD THE COURAGE TO FOLLOW YOUR
CONVICTIONS. YOU WERE THE FINEST MAN I HAVE EVER KNOWN.
NOT BAD FOR A KID OF 19.YOU WERE AND ALWAYS WILL BE
MY HERO

I WAS THERE THE NIGHT HE GAVE HIS LIFE TO THE LORD

I knew Don from church camp. I was there the night he gave his life to the Lord. We corresponded up until his death. I have never forgotten what a kind, good person Don was.I often think of him and I know he is walking with his Lord now and some day I will see him.
