honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. That you died so close to your end of tour is especially tragic. May you rest in eternal peace.

The hero of the Biondi/Visconti family. Its been over 50 years since you've been gone. I wish I could have met you. You died a hero and I am so thankful for your service.
Sincerely, your cousin, Cheyenne Visconti.

Remembered

DEAR PFC JOHN BIONDI,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN INFANTRYMAN. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE.. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. MANY OF US HAVE BEGUN OUR JOURNEY TO EASTER. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.
AND, HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY IN HEAVEN TOO.

To an old friend

I visited the Wall for the first time yesterday with my grandchildren. And saw your name on panel 21 row 8. We were friends in the late 50's and early 60's an both attended the same schools growing up in Mount Rainier.

my parents knew his mom

She was so happy he was coming home and a week before that date he got killed... She was devastated and it was so hard to witness her grief.. We used to see her at the Queenstown deli in Mt Ranier....
