Jimmy, I remember the Vietnam map your Mother hung on the wall. How she placed pushpins to indicate your location. Then, the news came of your passing. The map and pushpins took on a whole new meaning. You, James A. Pettitt, will never be forgotten. Yours was the ultimate sacrifice.

Dear Sp4 James Pettitt, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 46th anniversary of the fall of Saigon just passed, and it is still sad. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

You, Dad, Mother, Phyllis, and John, have left me the only living member of the family(Leon Pettitt). I miss the entire family. It is lonely to be the oldest sibling and the only one left. I sure wish I could get the mongoose memorabilia.
