52 years ago today, may 14, 1964
Stephen Pettis, I still remember all you great young men that the 1/46 lost on this day 52 years ago today. I remember the conversation we had just before you were killed that day. I just noticed a few days ago that we have the same birthday. I was one year older than you. R.I.P My friend. You all will never be forgotten.

Thank You
Dear S4 Steven Pettis, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 52nd anniversary is soon, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 46th anniversary of the fall of Saigon just passed, and it is still sad. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
