Thank You

Dear Lcpl John Peters, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. The 54th anniversary of the start of your tour is soon. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 46th anniversary of the fall of Saigon is in 2 days. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I Remember

I remember visiting your family before you joined the Corps, and you and Gary picked up the back side of a VW, I was impressed as a kid. I remember going to your burial and it was impressive too in a sad way. Semper Fi to a fellow Marine.

Memorial Day 2013

Johnny, you were way too young to go so soon. I think of you often. Thank you for serving your country so well. You lived and died with dignity and grace. Your cousin, Carolynn BenVau Moody

Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL John Theodore Peters, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
