I was too little to know Dean. His little sister and mine were best friends, as were our families. I remember my Mom crying when learning of his death. A few years later I read the Life magazine with Dean's picture in it. I found it sad that to get his picture in Life that he had to die. I am glad though the editors did that as we need to know about those who gave their lives.

Dean,
You were a good friend. I miss you all the time. I am sorry that I did not write more. I just never thought you woudld die.

I thank God for you. And, I hope to see you again on some more peaceful shore.
