do not stand at my grave and weep.....
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

Thank You
Dear SFC Charles Penley, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the Easter season. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

MY FATHER CHARLES "CHUCK" PENLEY
I am not sure how to feel about you sacrificing your life for others. My mother suffered so after your death with me at 3 months old. I cannot feel any other way but robbed from the presence of a father. Your father treated us so badly and spoke of my Mom so ill. My Mom almost lost her mind as you were the love of her life. There was no DNA then and no way to prove who I was. Your family treated us so horrible and never acknowledged my existence. It haunted her until her death and haunts me still. She never received the government support or funds raising me. No college help. She did it all by herself. I cannot help but wonder what was more important than your own child. I NEVER will understand why we had to do without so others could have. MY MOM ALWAYS SAID, " IF YOUR DAD WERE HERE YOUNG LADY THAT MOUTH WOULD BE DIFFERENT. " BUT, You were not here. Looking at our world now, I have to ask WHY? There is NO RESPECT FOR YOUR SACRIFICE. I NEEDED YOU, NOT THIS SAD WORLD.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SFC Charles Martin Penley Jr, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
