Dear PFC Donald Patterson, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Tomorrow is the 54th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It took me a while to get the nerve to look you up. I ran into your mom at the Ring a ding drive in right after I had returned from Vietnam and she told me what had happened. I cried the whole night remembering playing on Cornell Ave. and after I moved away we’d meet on weekends at Skateland and chase the girls around the skating rink.
