honoring you.....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear PFC Donald Patterson, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Tomorrow is the 54th anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Easter Monday. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

A good buddy

It took me a while to get the nerve to look you up. I ran into your mom at the Ring a ding drive in right after I had returned from Vietnam and she told me what had happened. I cried the whole night remembering playing on Cornell Ave. and after I moved away we’d meet on weekends at Skateland and chase the girls around the skating rink. Your fight is over but I’m still fighting agent orange. Rest In Peace buddy.
