Lost too soon in life
Michael, rest brother! You may or may not remember me, but I remember you because you see we were serving in MCAS Cherry Point, NC in the Naval Hospital. That's when I met you and that's the last duty station in the states. I'll tell you this; nothing we did was memorable, nothing we did was extraordinary, BUT, why do I, did I remember you? Maybe it was concern, or kindness, or the fact that we both were new to the Navy and scared to death that we'd never get it right. I don't know!. I know that we both went to Nam, only, I came back and you didn't. I know you and I know what you went thru, so Rest buddy, you deserve it.
