Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The many remembrances from those who knew you are touching and reflect their admiration and respect for you. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever….

After all these years I’m deeply saddened every time I think about you. I still can’t believe that one of our neighborhood friends lost his life in this war.

I used to eat lunch with Charlie during summer football practices at Dondero High School in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was probably best comedian I ever met. He was a tremendous loss.

Dear PFC Charles Parker, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Lent, and it’s spring. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I always thought he was my cousin because his parents were so close to mine. We called them Aunt millie and Uncle chuck.
