thank you
Thank you Sir, for paying the supreme sacrifice for the sake of others. I am a student of Gridley High School in Illinois, and am doing an extra credit project on the virtual wall. I cannot imagine the horrible circumstances you were put through in your dedication to serving America. I can only hope that if I am put in a similar situation I will have the courage you possessed in laying down your life for Americans. Your actions will never be forgotten.

I still remember
Dear Tommy: You were a schoolmate of my brother, Tom. The last time I saw you, I was 13 years old and attending the memorial service for Richard Fox, your childhood friend. Richard had lost his life in Vietnam and you were there to bid farewell to your friend. You were so handsome in your uniform and you too were preparing to leave for Vietnam in only days. Sadly, I attended your memorial service as well. Thank you for the sacrifice you made for our country. We still remember and always will.
