An American Hero

An American Soldier….. You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door, Hey, I'm solid, I'm steady, I'm true down to the core, And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price, I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice, And I don't want to die for you, But if dying's asked of me, I'll bear that cross with honor, 'Cause freedom don't come free. I'm an American Soldier, an American, Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand. When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right. I'm out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight. Rest in Peace, dear Hero. (excerpt from Toby Keith’s song)

A Remembrance to Bennie Joe Paolantonio

Bennie Joe was a childhood friend & although he lived a block away he was like a next door neighbor. We graduated from the same high school(Ambridge '64). I respect his sacrifice & the seven others who made the ultimate scarfice from our home town(Ambridge, PA).

You Will Forever Be In My Heart

My name is Phoenix Marr and I am a senior at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois. My history teacher challenged all of his students to write remembrances for those of the men and women who gave their lives while fighting for our country. Although I did not know Bennie personally, I know that he put forth all of his courage, strength, and integrity. I want to take this time to thank him for his incredible pride and unbelievable bravery. You will always be in my heart! God Bless!
