honoring you.....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

REMEMBERING MY COUSIN

Rich. You are a hero. Our family went through a lot. while we were in Nam. First with me getting wounded. Then your sacrifice. You are missed. Every time, I'm in DC. I visit
with you at the Wall. you are not forgotten.

Found your name on the Wall

Hey Palky, I have been to the Wall on two occasions and found your name there. Now while reading my VFW magazine I read that they have put pictures of the fallen to all the names, so I thought I would look you up. It brought back memories of those times we hung around Lawndale Park with the guys. I was sorry to hear of your passing in Vietnam. I was there in 68-69 and was fortunate to make it home. May you rest in peace, until we meet again Brother!

Thank You

Dear Cpl Richard Palcowski, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. The 51st anniversary of the start of your tour was 2 days ago. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Lent, and today is S. Pat’s. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Belated remembrance

I used to live on the same block in Chicago as Richie's family and went to grammar school with him. I think he was one year younger and in my brother George's class. I remember he used to deliver our newspaper for a while when he was a kid. It was so sad when he died right around the time my own brother came back from vietnam. I looked up your name once when the traveling wall came to chicago. I live in Pennsylvania now and plan on visiting DC soon now that it is a lot closer. I've never seen the wall in person but plan to do so and will say prayers for you. Thank you for your service and your ultimate sacrifice. You are not forgotten. Rest in peace
