Joe and I knew each other through out high school. We’re both “jocks”, Joe was a great runner and I a football player and wrestler. We both proudly wore our “Block Sweaters” and frequently talked.
I’m heartbroken by his death. I think of him constantly. respected him greatly.
Why I returned home and died bothers me beyond words.
Joe should be home enjoying grandchildren but was denied life’s simple pleasures.
NEVER FORGET!!!!

honoring you....
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your father is especially poignant and reflects the grief experienced by so many families who lost loved ones. May you rest in eternal peace.

Joe .....Not Forgotten......Ever
I read your letters again today. I smile as I read how excited you were about your car and your cycle. I remember how you had so many plans to ride them again when you got home.
You were an amazing, brave person to fight for our country. I am honored to have known a hero like you, Joe.
May you Rest In Peace.
