we will remember
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Ground Casualty
PFC Evangelista Pagan-Rodriguez was a draftsman serving with the 66th Engineer Topographic Company, 20th Engineer Brigade. The 66th was a corps support unit specializing in topographic (mapping) services. Pagan-Rodriguez was with the unit when it arrived in Vietnam in early September 1966, joining the 79th Engineer Group which had become operational the previous July. The 79th Group built bases for the 1st and 25th Infantry Divisions, and the 196th Light Infantry Brigade and the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment following their arrival at the end of September. Pagan-Rodriguez had completed nearly three months duty in Vietnam when he died November 26, 1966, after it was reported he took his own life. He was twenty-one years old.
