MIA Bracelet

I was cleaning out a storeroom and found a box with my older sister's belongings. She served in the Army for 20 years, my dad in the Navy for 22. Since it is the day before Veteran's Day, I wanted to tell you I found the bracelet she wore all through high school. She went to school in Hawaii since my dad was stationed there. The bracelet is in good condition if any members of the family would like it returned. My name is Suzanne and my email is [email protected]

To Cdr. Quinlan Orell’s Family

I purchased a POW bracelet in 1971 as a 7th grader. I wore the bracelet until I graduated from high school.
I am travelling to Washington DC tomorrow, and plan to leave the bracelet at the wall. I would love for your family to have the bracelet if you would like.
I am so pleased to find this site and learn more about Cdr.
I feel the weight of your sacrifice each time I look at my bracelet.
Please contact me here if you would like me to mail the bracelet to your family.

I wore Quinlan Orell’s POW-MIA bracelet in high school

This past Saturday I traveled to DC as an Honor Flight guardian. When I visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall I was was touched to find Capt Orell’s name there. I wore a bracelet bearing his name when I was in. High school and I never forgot it. Thank you to his family for the sacrifices your loved one made for us.

Capt. Orell

I still wear the bracelet that I got in 1969.I served in Vietnam in the Navy River Patrol Force. We promised to wear the bracelet until some final status was given. The bracelet is stainless steel, not copper,so it will last forever. I don't plan to ever take it off.

Always in my heart

To the family of CMDR Quinlan Orell, I wore a braclet bearing your loved ones name for years. My father, a WW2 veteran and Japanese POW saw the bracelet and asked me to order one for him, so he could show his support for these brave young men. I searched diligently for any updates on his status. I prayed for him and all our service men. I continue to do so. All gave some, some gave all. We will never forget.
