My Friend
I met Capt. Olsen in 1967 at Ft. Riley, Kansas when we activated the 17th Assault Helicopter Co, 613th Maint. Co., and the 722nd Avionics Detachment (all together we were and always will be Kingsmen).. We served together until the day he and the others went missing. We even went on R&R together. He was a good friend.

MAJ. FLOYD OLSEN
I have had this bracelet for years and years. Just came upon it recently and wondered his outcome. I see he is still listed as MIA - Thank you for your service. Simper Fidelis.

A true hero
I wore his bracelet during my high school and college years. It was the 1970’s. I wore his bracelet until it broke. Now over 50 years later I still have both pieces. I now have a daughter and son in law that are both majors in the Air Force. Thank you and all service men and women for your service.

Bracelet
When I was in high school in the 70s, I wore a POW/MIA bracelet. The name on the bracelet was MAJ. Floyd Olsen and the date was 4/21/68. I wore that bracelet until it finally broke in half, but I never forgot his name. I was recently on the island of Oahu and visited the cemetery at the Punchbowl. I found his name on the memorial for all the missing in action from the Vietnam war. It was a very somber moment and I’m so sorry that he never made it home. My best regards to his family.
