Distinguished Flying Cross Award
Warrant Officer Gerard Francis O'Connor was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight. He served as an Attack Helicopter Pilot and was assigned to the 162ND AHC, 13TH AVN BN, 164TH AVN GROUP, 1ST AVIATION BDE.

My brother Gerry
Gerry was the 2nd of 7 boys, extremely intelligent, musically & mechanically inclined, liked fast cars, Mom's friend chicken and got along with everyone. He finished 1st in flight school and did well in any endeavor he chose. He is missed as much today as the day he left us. RIP Gerry.
