~God Bless~

Sometimes life has challenges that only the strong and daring can handle, and you have taken on those challenges and turned into a hero. You will always be remembered and honored for your services. Thank you for your dedication and for defending the country that I love. You will never be forgotten.

Not Forgotten

I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.

We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

A Place In My Heart

I never knew Capt. Joseph P. Nolan, other than as a name. I purchased a MIA bracelet years ago when I was starting college. I picked Joseph P. Nolan because the date on the bracelet was from the year that I was born (probably not a very good reason). I have wondered often if he was found. The virtual wall website has allowed me to find out that he died at the tender age of 22, shortly after I was born. It humbles me to know how many great americans fought and gave there lives in Vietnam at such a young age. It breaks my heart to to think of how scary war must be at any age, but particularily when one is so young. It makes me thankful that I have not had to experience war first hand. I just wanted to say that Joseph P. Nolan, even though I never met him, will always be in my heart.
