Remembering Floyd

Floyd was a friend and classmate. We both went in the military in January of 1966. I enlisted in the Air Force and Floyd took the draft. He thought he was going into the Army, but was drafted in the Marines when he reported to the draft induction center. We spent one of our last civilian days hunting, but ended up just sitting in the woods and talking about our upcoming military life. Floyd was wounded and lived on the Hospital ship Repose for two weeks before passing. He was a great person, friend, classmate and proud Marine! Never forgotten!

A Great Person

Floyd was my father's cousin. I still think of him often. He was the last to carry on the Berry blood line .He didn't have to go to Vietnam but volunteered for duty because he felt it was his duty to serve his country Floyd gave it all RIP. I will never forget him
