Remembering Bruce
I found your name Bruce on the Vietnam Memorial Touring Wall yesterday 4/14/24 in Arizona. You were a first cousin to me. Besides being a highly decorated Sergeant in the Army, having earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star, people should know what a really good person you were. Born into a small rural Wisconsin town, you went on to graduate with honors from a Catholic College and was active in ROTC. I was at your funeral and burial in St. James Catholic Church Cemetery over fifty years ago. It was a clear and sunny daily. I remember the military gun salute you received. It was all so surreal. Bruce you are a true American hero. We thank you for your service and sacrifice. I for one am so very proud to be related to you. Dear Bruce you are gone from us but will never be forgotten! Rest in peace.

Memorial Day 2023
Another Memorial Day where I remember you & me at St Norbert's College. My years in the Navy do not compare to your time in the Army. God be with you and you will never be forgotten.

Miss You
Bruce, I miss you sadly. I've shared stories about playing sheepshead with you all night in the dorm, especially after ROTC.
The hardest part of the Rolling Thunder rides for me each time has been seeing your name on The Wall. Wish you were still here.
