do not stand at my grave and weep.....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You

Dear PFC Roger Nesbit, Thank you for your service as an Antitank Assaultman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It’s a New Year, but not necessarily better. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

It seems like yesterday

I remember the month you left, your mom and I talked about you a lot while you were gone. As you know you're mom my 2nd daughter's God Mother. She still has the book your mom wrote about the interesting things your Marine ring did after you passed. She loved you very much. Two of my daughter's sons became Marines. One was killed in a car accident a week before going to Iraq, (his Chev. Colbolt shut down on him while returning to Base) the other has been back from Afghanistan and is about to have a son of his own. We all miss you, rest in peace. Semper Fi and Garry Owen to you.
