Your Middle Sister

Clearly our lives changed that day of Dec 6, 1966. As his middle sister, who he could not say sister, but called me “ Sisty,” which I’m still called that, even today. Our hearts ache each birthday, Holiday & especially the meals without him. I thought often of what life would have been with his wife & children joining our big family. God had a different plan. My older brother, Jr took care of us 5 sisters, though. I know that today, Sanford’s in Heaven with Jesus & singing with Mom, Dad, Jr, Vivian & BIl, Tommy & Nephew, Little Tommy They are all watching over us. I will see him again one day. Loved him & miss him dearly.

Thank You

Dear PFC Sanford Nelson, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It’s a New Year, but not necessarily better. It is also M.L. King’s birthday. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My brother Sanford Lewis Nelson

I am the baby of 7 children. Sanford was the middle child. We were raised in a Christian home. In December of 1966 our lives changed forever. We lost a precious brother that we loved dearly, but knew that God had a plan. Today we are thankful he is Alive and Free and we will see him again one day. Thank you Sanford for serving in the Marine corp. we Miss you and Love you Dearly. Your baby sister (Messy) Inez
