THE WALL OF FACES

John, I never met you but have known about you for years. Bill never forgot you. He grieved you, wrote about you, talked about you, and put a memorial to you in the paper every Memorial Day for the rest of his life. I lost Bill a little less than a year ago, and I promised I would always remember you too, for him. Rest in peace with Bill and know you are cared about like I care about him.

Dear Sgt John Nelson, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. I researched you on the 53rd anniversary of the start of your tour. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart.
