I served with Lt. Neely in Vietnam and I was with him when he died in Kontum Province. He was a great leader and friend. I was Sergeant Hogan and he was our platoon leader. I think about him often and I should have reached out to his family but at the time it was just too hard. Prayers to his Family!

Dear Lt James Neely, Thank you for your service as an Armored Reconnaissance Unit Commander with the 1st Cavalry. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It’s a New Year, but not necessarily better. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

He must’ve done amazing things for my grandpa to chose him as my fathers name sake. You live on Mr. James Neely. God bless you.
