Gone but not forgotten...

John my highschool friend, I think of you often. We graduated together, you went to Michigan Tech while I went to GRJC. We lost touch, headed off in different directions of our youth. You enlisted in the Marines, a few months before I enlisted in the Army after getting my draft notice. I had been in Vietnam (1st Air Cav, An Khe) one month to the day Aug 3, 1967 when you were KIA in A Shaw valley, Vietnam.

honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Patricia Willis is touching and reflects the anguish experienced by so many who lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever….

John Benedict Nahan III -- POW Bracelet

I received this bracelet around 1995. I have worn this bracelet, shared with others and treasured for the last 25 years. I have researched his name, wrote letters to the family but never sent. This young man has not been forgotten and is remembered in great respect. On many occasions my husband and I look at this bracelet and we discuss the journey this brave man endured for our freedom.

It’s Memorial Weekend and I am so glad to have found this page to learn more about the man who we’ve honored over the years. Now, I am given the great opportunity to share the bracelet with you.
