Dennis's mother Eilean
I never knew Dennis. I met his mother Eileen when she was living at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria Illinois. I also met Dennis's sister Paula when I was working there. I was told by his mother that he had been killed in Vietnam. I never pressed Eileen on his death. I did know his death hurt her until the day she died. Meeting her inspired me to research Dennis's time in Vietnam. Everything I could find about Dennis's death I printed out. I had been an entertainer at retirement and nursing homes for many years. At every memorial or veterans program that I performed I would talk about Dennis's service and sacrifice. I would pass out the picture and story about him I keep with my equipment to everyone to read. Even though I never met Dennis I feel through meetings and knowing his mother and sister that I know what kind of person he was. A young man of 20 with his whole life in front of him taken from this world for his country. We as a nation owe Dennis and all the other veterans a debt we never can pay. Thank you PFC. McPherson. You will never be forgotten!

Thank You
Dear PFC Dennis McPherson, Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the terror attacks. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Thank You
Dennis,
I was watching a documentary about the Battle of Dak To at Hill 724 which showed you on film and mentioned how you were killed in action. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Dennis Craig McPherson, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
