honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your cousin Joan McWhirter Matteson is touching and reflects the anguish experienced by so many families that lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever….

Thank You

Dear PFC Kenneth McLendon, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Labor Day weekend. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Happy Memories

Kenny, you and your family are part of the happiest memories of my childhood. You were so courageous to venture into the Marines at such a young age, and we all remain devastated at losing you in the far corner of the world, but glad that you got to see a bit of this great big world outside of the Hill Country of Texas before the war took your life. We will always love you and think happy thoughts of the fun times we had together as kids. We are so happy to have found Deb and Gayla through technology that wasn't even dreamed of when we lost you. Remembering you and your brother David with grins on our faces, just like you would have wanted!
