My Marine I think of you often.

You only had 30 more days to serve in Vietnam when you lost your life. You made the greatest sacrifice. We had so many plans for getting married and our future life together. Rest in peace my love.

We never met, but we served in the Corps during the same years and we share the same first and last names. We may have been related for all I know, but I was raised in Texas. I just want you to know that I will carry your sacrifice in my heart for the rest of my life for I lost many friends in Vietnam and consider you to be symbolic of all those outstanding Marines.
