Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

We were the only two left handed people in the immediate McHaney family, he always thought that was special.

He told my father, LtCol(Ret) Max K McHaney before he went to Viet Nam that “there is a bullet over there with my name on it”.
And on Veterans Day, Nov 11, 1967, it found him.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. We should be forever thankful for the sacrifices of you and so many others to ensure the freedoms we so often take for granted.

Rest easy sir. My father, Harry A Powe, knew your family and you. I went the DC supporting an honor flight for WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
