Thank You

Dear Sp4 Alexander McGlothlin, Thank you for your service as an Observation/Scout Helicopter Repairer. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Time passes quickly, but our world needs help. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

SEMPER FIDELIS

Alexander and my father-in-law, James Schmidt, served together in Vietnam. James retuned home, but their bond/friendship was one of uncommon fidelity. They swore to name they're first born child after the other, if one of them was killed in action. My wife, Alexandria DesJardins, was James' first born child. Named after Alexander. She is an active duty Marine Corps officer, and I am retired as well. The pic is of our son, visiting The Wall in DC. Our 5 year old's middle name is Alexander. Named after this great man.

Semper Fidelis Marine. Your name runs deep in our family's bloodline. You will never be forgotten, and your story will continually be told for generations to come.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL Alexander J McGlothlin, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
