Never forgotten

I knew Denny because he dated my older sister. They went to high school together when I was at Eastview elem. Denny was always so kind to me, happy, and fun- loving.. He even took time to write letters to me ( a 10 year old kid) when he was in Vietnam. I remember my entire family was devastated at the news of his loss. I will always remember Denny. His life was a blessing to many. I’m sure he heard Jesus say
“ Well done, good and faithful servant .”

Gone too soon and a hero

I remember Denny from our high school years in Avon Lake. I also served in Vietnam NSA Danang. My wife and I saw your name on the Vietnam wall in DC.

Forever In Our Hearts

A Heartfelt Thank You for all the wonderful tributes to our brother Denny. We’re sorry for the late post but was not aware of The Wall of Faces until recently. Our hearts were broken when we lost Denny, but it certainly warms us to know he is still remembered after all these years. We also lost our brother Bob (LCpl. Robert M. Bergenstein) November 22, 1995, another heartbreak. He also joined the Marines and served in Vietnam. Sadly, Bob took his own life, another casualty of Vietnam.

Much gratitude to all that served and are serving our great country!

Denny and Bob, you are truly missed but are forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten!
