THE WALL OF FACES

I am a 10 year old girl living in SC and am visiting Washington, DC for Spring Break. I visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall today. I was looking for someone to write a letter to and learn about, and as I was walking by the wall I saw your name and it stood out to me for some reason and knew that it was the one. Thank You so so much for your service and your life. I just want you to know that you are not forgotten and that without you risking your life in the war the world wouldn't be the same. Thanks again for your service.

My Grandmother was in the Navy wives club in Newport RI when she received the bracelet. She wore it with pride and has held on to it ever since. God Bless Major Michael McElhannon and all who served.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from those who wear/wore your MIA bracelet are touching and reflect their admiration and respect for you. It remains my fervent hope you will be returned home after the passage of so many years.
