Ground Casualty

EON2 Dale R. Berg was a construction equipment operator serving with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Three (NMCB-3), 3rd Naval Construction Brigade, U.S. Naval Forces, Vietnam. On September 29, 1967, EONC Berg was working with a night crew at Phu Bai Airfield in Thua Thien Province, RVN, when he was struck by a vehicle. He was fatally injured in the incident.
