THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 74 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

Mike and I rode bikes together and played Kiwanis softball together he wanted me to join Marine Corps with him in Jan. 1967 our senior year we both just turned 18 I told him we need to finish HS first but he joined I promised him I would join him unfortunately he didn’t get to see me join which I did as I promised. I also spent 1 yr. in Vietnam but I returned. I think about Mike a lot. Great friend and will never be forgotten. I went to the wall and got his etching.

Never forgotten.
