He is buried in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown, RI

Robert was also awarded the Soldiers Medal for Heroism in Vietnam. He carried 2 fellow soldiers through a Mine Field on his back to safety.

Bob is buried with his parents at the Quidnesset Memorial Cemetary, 6365 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852.

Dear friends, in 1973 I was an All American wrestler at Warwick Vets, where Bobby also wrestled.At our awards banquet at the end of the year, Bob's brother Kenny awarded me as the first recipient of the Robert W Macnaught Memorial Wrestling trophy. Ken also presented me with a generous scholorship check for $500.00. which went to my tuition at U.R .I. It's now 43 years later and Warwick Vet. High School is closing. This week I went to vets, (on a tip) because I heard the trophy case was possibly being consigned to a dumpster or closet. I was given this most honorable gift to care for. There are 39 more names engraved on it after mine. To me , this is the Stanley Cup of Warwick Vets Wrestling!
