Robert Sousa

I new Robert from Newark California. He was with his brother Michael at Philomena Martin's house. Robert joined the Marine Corp. The last time I saw him he was in a coffin at his wake. Robert was born of my generation. Boys born in 1947. Dead 1967. Fifty thousand and more dead of this beautiful generation. Mostly born in world War two. Then they were caught up in and massacred in that heinous war of John Kennedy and Lindon Johnson. By this time the nation was fed up with this cannon fodder factory. Gentle people, I write this because when I look at the names on the wall I still cannot put into words my feelings about this loss to all those who loved these men. The God of War still resides in the world. Beware, he still has big plans. Those plans are in the works at this very moment. The cannon fodder factory will soon be back in business. This next and final war will have nothing too do about God and country. When it ends wars will never happen again. Evil people will be destroyed forever. Sickness and death will be no more. Praise God and his son christ Jesus.

Thinking Of You

How time flies my friend. 51 years ago we were at Paris Island. Our only fear was that the conflict would be over before we got over there. There has not been a week go by that I don't think of you. I am on the down side of time now. I`ll see you soon my friend---I'll see you soon

Remembered

DEAR CPL. AGAR,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A MARINE GRUNT. IT BOTHERS ME THAT YOU LOST YOUR LIFE THE DAY AFTER YOUR BIRTHDAY. NOT THAT ANY TIME WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, BUT THIS HURTS.
REST IN PEACE AND SEMPER FI.
