Thank You
Dear Cpl Sidney MacLeod, Thank you for your service as a Mortarman. I did the research on you on your 52nd anniversary, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Yesterday was Memorial Day, and it is important to remember you. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

It's important to me that we remember
For CPL MacLeod, Jr.: I never knew you. I imagine being born in 1965, I would not have any chance of knowing any Vietnam Veterans. But it is important to me that you folks (men and women) are remembered. Thanks to this site and Face Book, I trust that ALL 58,282 of you will be remembered in one way or another. And there's The Wall in Washington, DC., which I've seen a few times. Being at a loss for words, I'll end this by thanking you for your service.

Never Forgotten
I was a classmate of Sydney's at McLean H.S. in McLean, VA. We graduated in 1964. He was the nicest young man in our class. A true gentleman. Big fan of John Wayne. We spent the summer riding my horse and swimming at his neighborhood pool where he was a lifeguard.
My husband and I place flowers on his grave whenever we place them at my mother's site. Especially on Memorial Day weekend. He will never be forgotten.
