Dear Lt Carl Myllymaki, Thank you for your service as an Infantry Officer. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy New Year. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Carl was a Lifeguard at Dunes Beach, Weekapaug, RI. I was a little kid (now 61) then.
He was bigger than life to me (Adonis). He could carry two trash cans at the same time!! I helped pick up the trash on the beach at the end of the day. Carl paid me 25 cents. I proudly ran to the concession to buy a birch beer soda before my mom took me home. I thought he was the greatest! When I was in junior high school (68/69), his younger brother Jeff used to coach (pick on) me. I recall he paid special attention to me (drove me nuts). I was told it was because he knew how much I thought of Carl. Generally, these memories bring me to tears. Will never forget him. Be good to kids. Always, Donnie.

Carl "BUD" was a Marine - Marine. Chesty Puller was his Hero & Idol.
